Our client, a tier 2 contractor in the water industry, is currently seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join their dynamic team in Guildford. This role offers the opportunity to work on significant water infrastructure projects on a long-term contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing on-site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards
- Coordinating and supervising blue-collar workers
- Working closely with the project management team to ensure timely project delivery
- Conducting site surveys and assessments to provide accurate progress reports
- Implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols on site
- Collaborating with stakeholders to address and resolve site-related issues
- Ensuring quality control and compliance with engineering plans and specifications
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the water sector and a strong background in civil engineering
- Possession of a Thames Water passport
- Proficiency in managing and supervising blue-collar workforce
- Understanding of water infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as necessary
