A leading aerospace manufacturing organisation are currently looking to urgently bring onboard a Materials Planner to play a key role in ensuring the effective planning and availability of materials to support operational delivery.

- Pay: £25 - 30 p/hr (Inside IR35)
- Location: Wimborne
- Working Pattern: Fully onsite
You will be responsible for managing material requirements, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring the timely availability of components to support production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage material requirements to support production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and take proactive action to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Raise and manage purchase requisitions and expedite deliveries where required.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure material availability.
- Maintain accurate planning parameters and material data within the ERP/MRP system.
- Analyse demand, supply and inventory trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Support resolution of material shortages and supply chain disruptions.
- Generate planning reports and communicate status updates to key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Operations teams, you will help drive continuity of supply and minimise disruption to production activities.
Key Requirements:
- Experience within aerospace, defence or manufacturing environments.
- Previous experience in a Materials Planner, Production Planner, Supply Chain Planner or similar role.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and inventory management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Pivot tables, V-LOOKUPS)
This is a site-based role located in Wimborne and requires individuals who can quickly integrate into a fast-paced operational environment.
