Our client, a leading consultancy specialising in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Civils 3D Technician to join their team in Leeds on a contract basis. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with occasional visits to the Leeds office and falls inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing detailed civil engineering designs and drawings using Civil 3D software
- Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop designs
- Reviewing and checking technical designs and drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Managing and organising drawing files and project documentation
- Contributing to the development and improvement of design standards and procedures
- Providing technical support and guidance to junior technicians and other team members
- Ensuring all designs and drawings adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations
- Participating in project meetings and providing input on technical aspects of projects
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in civil engineering design within the water sector
- Proficiency in Civil 3D software
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Relevant technical qualification in civil engineering or a closely related field
