Our client is seeking two Geotechnical Site Invetigation Engineers for a contract position in Didcot. The role involves rigorous site investigations and data collection, with a focus on highway projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- 13 CP boreholes and 4 rotary follow-on boreholes
- Performing DCPs, trial pits, and lagoon sampling
- Managing and logging site activities in accordance with BS5930 standards
- Operating CAT & Genny equipment for site investigations
- SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid
- Providing detailed site reports and documentation
- Supervising on-site activities and managing general site logistics
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in geotechnical engineering, particularly within highway projects
- Proficiency in site investigation techniques and equipment, including CAT & Genny
- Strong knowledge of BS5930 standards for logging sand and gravel
- SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under contract conditions and tight deadlines
- Valid driving licence for site vehicle
