Our client, a leader in defence and security, is seeking a skilled Marine Engineering Submarine Specialist (MESM) to join their team in Wokingham. This role is integral to supporting the development of courseware and media within the marine sector, ensuring the highest standards are maintained in training materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying technical data requirements for the development of Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) courseware and media.
- Gathering technical data to support courseware and media development, working closely with both customer and internal teams.
- Contextualising training content to meet specific conditions and standards.
- Conducting maintenance, review, and production of DSAT documentation and processes.
- Interviewing subject matter experts and participating in internal workshops.
- Fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement.
- Identifying and exploiting new training methods and media.
Job Requirements:
- Proven at-sea experience as a Cat A Nuclear watchkeeper.
- Significant experience in electrical and mechanical engineering.
- Understanding of marine engineering, particularly within the Royal Navy context.
- Knowledge of PWR 2 and forward ME duties is desirable.
- Experience in training requirements, design, or delivery is advantageous.
- Background in Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) or Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) is a plus.
