Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Building Structures team. This is a permanent position offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to complex and rewarding projects across the built environment sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing structural analysis and design of buildings using various construction materials.
- Delivering engineering solutions from early-stage concepts to detailed design.
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Supporting project delivery to programme and budget requirements.
- Participating in client meetings and technical workshops.
- Conducting site inspections and attending project review meetings.
- Producing technical calculations, reports, and design documentation.
- Contributing to BIM-led design and digital engineering processes.
- Supporting junior engineers and sharing technical knowledge across the team.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Membership of ICE, IStructE, or another relevant professional institution.
- Progress towards Chartered Engineer status.
- Experience in designing structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Strong understanding of Eurocodes and current design standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with structural analysis software.
- Exposure to BIM and Revit-based project delivery.
- Commercial awareness and project delivery experience.
- Interest in sustainable and innovative structural design solutions.
