Our client is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager for a Design and Build scheme. The focus is on an infrastructure project in Scotland, encompassing infrastructure elements such as roads, drainage, M&E systems, and structural warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the design and build process
  • Managing all stages of project development including planning, execution, and closing
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure project milestones and objectives are met
  • Providing expertise in value engineering and NEC project management
  • Conducting project risk management and mitigation
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Facilitating communication between the office in Manchester and the site in Scotland
  • Innovating and detailing design aspects to optimise project outcomes

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in highway project management, particularly in design and build projects
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure elements such as roads, drainage, and M&E systems
  • Experience with NEC project management methodologies
  • Ability to engineer value and optimise project designs
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Enthusiastic and proactive attitude with a focus on innovative problem-solving
  • Willingness to visit the Manchester office occasionally and potentially the project site in Scotland

Contract Details:

  • One-year contract, likely to be extended
  • Outside IR35
  • Start date: ASAP
  • 40 hours per week
