Senior Quantity Surveyor needed for contract position workoing on Thames Water projects .
- Lead full commercial activities across water-sector construction projects
- Administer contracts including early warnings/compensation events, change control, and commercial correspondence with the client and supply chain.
- Produce and maintain cost reports: forecasts, CVRs, earned value/progress measures, and monthly commercial packs for senior stakeholders.
- Manage applications for payment, valuations, payment notices, and ensure timely cash collection in line with contract requirements.
- Procure and manage subcontractors: tendering, negotiation, contract placement, performance monitoring, and commercial issue resolution.
- Prepare, assess and agree variations, quotations and claims, ensuring robust substantiation and contemporaneous records.
- Support project teams with risk and opportunity management (commercial risk register), cost-to-complete, and mitigation actions.
- Work closely with delivery teams (PMs, Engineers, Planners) to align programme, progress, and cost, and challenge cost drivers where needed.
- Ensure governance and compliance: audit-ready records, accurate document control, and adherence to internal commercial processes and client frameworks.
