Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Associate or Associate Director to support the leadership and growth of its Birmingham highways and infrastructure team on a permanent basis. The role will provide technical leadership across public sector highway projects, while contributing to client management, team development, framework growth and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multidisciplinary highways and infrastructure projects from planning through to delivery
  • Manage key client relationships across local authorities and public sector organisations
  • Support business development, framework growth and work-winning activities
  • Provide technical governance, quality assurance and project oversight
  • Lead, mentor and develop engineering teams
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and continued growth of the Birmingham operation
  • Support the delivery of public sector highways schemes, local authority infrastructure programmes and major transportation projects

Job Requirements:

  • Significant consultancy experience within highways and infrastructure engineering
  • Proven experience managing public sector clients, frameworks and commissions
  • Strong understanding of highways design, infrastructure planning and project delivery
  • Established client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Chartered Engineer status through the ICE or an equivalent professional institution
  • Experience providing team leadership, technical direction and commercial oversight
  • Strong knowledge of major transportation and urban infrastructure developments
  • Excellent communication, project management and business development abilities
