Introduction

Our client is looking to strengthen their team based out of Cumbernauld and require a mobile Site Manager with water/wastewater experience to cover a number of locations.

Important

Previous water/wastewater industry experience is essential

The Job

The Site Manager will liaise with and report directly to the Project Manager on all matters relating to the project implementation plan through to project completion. The Site Manager will take full responsibility for controlling and managing all our clients activities on site including sub-contractor activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scheme Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plan
  • To ensure works are constructed defect free
  • Ensure all works are undertaken with due regard to the needs of the local population within the immediate vicinity of the works and the travelling public as a whole
  • Manage, supervise and mentor the site team as appropriate
  • Ensure only adequately trained and experienced operatives are engaged on site to deliver the scheme
  • Adopt, maintain and promote cost conscious management through efficient use of all resources
  • Ensure realistic scheme programmes are prepared, reviewed and updated
  • Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, briefed and updated
  • Deliver site inductions and regular tool box talk briefings to all site personnel
  • Ensure all plant and equipment used is fit for purpose, only operated by suitably trained personnel and regularly inspected
  • Ensure all records for measurement and payment purposes are prepared promptly, in appropriate form
  • Keep line management apprised of potential problems and opportunities

Qualifications

  • Time served and fully qualified in their relevant trade - City & Guilds, MA or equivalent
  • 3 years minimum post qualification experience
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience
  • SMSTS 5 day
  • First Aid at Work - 3 day
  • MSRA
  • Accident Investigation
  • Root cause analysis
  • CSCS
  • Manual Handling
