This role would suit someone newly graduated/qualified to a very experienced Property Mechanical Engineer, as you will learn on the job with a great team or be able to share your experience and knowledge.
Our client is looking for a Buildings Mechanical Engineer who will be working in various properties across Southampton, Hampshire within residential, tower blocks, offices, schools, and commercial premises.
You will need to have proven experience of working in a mechanical engineering project design team working towards project delivery.
You will need to have knowledge and understanding of relevant design and construction related legislation including Building Regulations and CDM 2015, along with relevant British Standards.
You will also need to demonstrate an understanding of BIM requirements and could coordinate electrical engineering designs with other design disciplines.
Your role will be to support the Senior Mechanical Engineer and Team Manager - Design Services in the provision of mechanical engineering services by providing a professional service from conception to completion for a variety of clients across Southampton, Hampshire.
Desirable Qualifications
- Engineering qualification e.g., HNC / HND or similar or
- Engineering Degree e.g., BSc or BEng
- Working towards Professional accreditation e.g. AMIME or Incorporated Engineer (IEng)
- Working towards Chartered Professional accreditation (CEng, MIME)
- Minimum 5 years post qualification experience but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence

This will be a 6 month contract with a view to make it permanent after the qualifying period.
Salary up to £25.00 p/h depending on experience.
