An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client based in West Sussex. The company is a Light Aircraft maintenance company looking for Chief Engineer on a permanent basis.
Salary dependent on experience
South East England
An experienced Part B1.2 or Part B3 Licenced Engineer is required to lead our Light Aircraft Maintenance Company, providing high standards of maintenance to one of the UK's busiest commercial flight training organisations. Aircraft consist mainly of Diamond & Piper Aircraft ( Piston engines only including Diesel engines).
Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK and must be fluent in the English Language.
To be acceptable to the Civil Aviation Authority in this role, the applicant must:
Hold a Part-66 license in either category B1.2 or B3. License MUST be issued by the UK Civil Aviation Authority, EASA issued license not sufficient. License MUST include Full Group 3 type rating (metal & composite structures).
Have practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practises.
Have comprehensive knowledge of Part-ML and any associated requirements and procedures
Relevant aviation experience of whcih some should be within the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position.
Have knowledge of a relevant sample of the types of aircraft that are within the organisation scope of work.
Have knowledge of maintenance standards (including human factor principles).
Have knowledge of Quality systems procedures.
Be IT literate (Word & Excel).
Have knowledge of Health safety and general legislative matters relating to the industry.
Have ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Diamond, Austro and Continental factory type training.
Role ( not limited to)
- Management / supervision of Engineers/Mechanics
- Plan, schedule and manage workload to maximise productivity.
