Introduction

I am currently recruiting for a Quality Auditor to work for an aerospace company in Hamble near Southampton.

The role will fit either a experienced Quality Auditor or someone with experience working within aerospace quality.

The Job

Role Summary
Part of the Quality Assurance function covering the following elements,

  • Maintenance of internal audit schedule covering System, Process and Product audits,
  • Maintenance of the Audit Readiness Board Schedule,
  • Support and host external auditors (e.g. certification body, external regulator, NADCAP and customer representatives),
  • Administration and Maintenance of Quality Action Tracking System (ATS) tool (Gensuite) to manage audit findings,
  • Maintenance of the Quality Concern Reporting tool
  • Administration and Maintenance of QMS documentation (including Quality Policy, Production Organisation Exposition, Quality Manual, Quality Assurance Procedures and Departmental Manuals).

Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits (product / system / process / ARB),
  • Administer internal and external audit findings and maintain finding database,
  • Creation and maintenance of audit schedule,
  • Management and administration of external audits (EN9100 / NADCAP / CAA),
  • Support production of quality metrics to provide business performance from Quality Assurance perspective,
  • Manage the quality concern reporting process,
  • Management and administration of Quality Management System document updates.

Requirements

  • Audit experience (from participation or support of external audits or participation in internal / ARB audits),
  • Good understanding of current Hamble customer base,
  • Good understanding of Quality Management System requirements,
  • Good understanding of current Hamble manufacturing processes,
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail,
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, access)
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or EN9100 Internal Auditor (IRCA approved) certification (training will be provided to obtain this certification),
  • Technical report writing experience,
  • Root cause and corrective action skills,
  • Good oral and written communication skills,
  • Good interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to work to timescales, achieve personal deadlines and contribute to team objectives,
  • Ability to contribute effectively to team-working and group discussions
