Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Senior Engineer the role of the Electrical Engineer is to provide the on-site technical support & expertise to all matters relating to our new Warehouse Automation system. Working within a wider team inclusive of 24/7 remote software support, onsite Manufacturer Technicians and directly alongside a Technical Operator to ensure system reliability is maintained.
This role will be responsible for business as usual operations of the automated equipment, including diagnosing failures, carrying out planned maintenance and resolution for major issues.

Working closely with the Flow Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring shift KPI's are met to demonstrate system reliability and to highlight areas of focus to improve efficiency. Although the position comes with no direct budget responsibility you will give input to drive best possible value for the business by utilising Lean Tools & Techniques.

The role is operated on a rota basis but as with the nature of the operation flexibility will be required to ensure adequate cover is available to meet business needs, which may include working recognised shift patterns of earlies, lates and inclusive of nights.

We are seeking an electrically minded individual who thrives in a technically focused hands-on environment and would enjoy the challenge of developing and running a market leading automated warehouse system.

Our Ideal Person:
* Comprehensive understanding of production lines & packaging systems gained from working directly in an automated environment.
* Strong Electrical ability, ideally certified to HNC engineering or equivalent
* H&S experience within a busy fast paced business is essential
* A strong communicator that has proven experience in working collaboratively across the business to translate desired business outcomes
* Strong Software Background, specifically working knowledge & fault-finding ability on Siemens S7, WinCC,
* ProfNet & ASI Networks
* Working knowledge of machinery safety regulations & legislation
* Highly computer literate / Excel / Word / PowerPoint
* Experience working on Inverters / Servo Drives / HMI panels / 24v Rollers / Shuttles / Lifts
* Proven knowledge of Lean Tools & Techniques to drive best in class performance
* Background in packaging equipment, specifically case erectors, sealers & labellers

In this role, you will:
* Immerse yourself into the implementation of the system and understand the full system layout and connectivity of the warehouse management system to ensure rapid diagnosis and resolution of all errors
* Carry out Planned Maintenance works as scheduled
* Utilise Scada to ensure system availability
* Resolve plant stoppages
* Ensure H&S Lotto procedure and permits are stringently followed
* Provide expertise on system capability
* Work with the Snr Engineer to Develop & Create Standard Operating Procedures ensuring safety is at the heart of what we do seeking best practice and company standardisation by working alongside our external safety consultants
