Our water industry client is seeking a Water Planning Manager to deliver their source to tap water supply strategy based out of their Worthing office in a hybrid working position.
Our client are looking for a Water Planning Manager to be responsible for delivering a resilient and optimised source to tap water supply strategy across their customer base. The undertakings of this role are unique to other management positions in that it is directly linked to our clients performance commitments to their regulators. To achieve this, you will manage complex and sometimes incomplete data sets to come to effective conclusions. Using your proven line management skills, you will be managing a team of water strategy subject matter experts to improve the resilience of customer water supply whilst optimising cost for the business and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to regulators.
Responsibilities
- Manage the water supply strategy from creation to execution.
- Engage with numerous stakeholders across the business
- You will build a large network and you will find yourself being consulted frequently by senior individuals internally and externally.
- The ability to influence individuals outside of your reporting line, is critical to the success of the team.
- 24/7 support to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently (6 week standby rota).
- Committed to out-of-hours incident support/resolving issues
- Providing customers with clean and safe drinking water
- This role plays a huge part in being able to protect the environment and natural habitat, not just for the present but for years to come.
Qualifications
- Proven experience of Water process/supply knowledge and passion for environmental awareness will be pivotal
- Ideally degree qualified in environment but not essential
