Senior Delivery Manager
Permanent | £35 000 - 45 000 | Birmingham | Hybrid working

We are looking for a Senior Deliver Manager who will be working on IT projects:

• Accountable for effective delivery of complex, high risk products and service
• Communication between the technical and non-technical
• Control and manage 3rd party suppliers

The projects and systems which the holder of the role will be working on to develop services will be wide ranging including operational systems with safety related functions to business-critical systems. The types of systems and services to be defined, developed, and delivered through this role will include but not be limited to the following:

• ITIL based service management processes e.g., constrained by safety, environmental considerations and the operational models used to deliver, maintain and roadside and business technology.
• The types of ITIL based services include:
• Incident, performance, and problem management services
• Change management services
• Configuration management services
• Knowledge management services
• Business IT services such as the development of new solutions to store, share and analyse data collected from disparate sources
• Web based services using APIs and middleware that are implemented across one or more systems

Skills & Requirements

• Good stakeholder skills, internal and external stakeholders
• Experience dealing with 3rd party suppliers
• Agile experience is required for future projects
• Business change and implementation
• Maintaining delivery momentum
• Making the process work

Experience in one or more of these areas are desirable

• Commercial Management
• Financial Management
• Lifecycle Perspective
• Coding and Scripting
• The use and preferably configuration of ITIL based management tools
• Software tools (e.g. Jira) to support and manage agile developments
