Job description

The Senior Proposal Manager will be required to maintain a clear overview of the status of all EDP bid activity, and ensure all submissions are of high quality, delivered on time, and subject to governance. The role holder will need to manage our EDP Proposal Managers, and work with our Future Business Team, and a wider Programmes community (as required) to provide clear, concise, costed proposals.

The Senior Proposal Manager will represent our organisation with our business partners, and support our Sales Managers in confirming task leadership and agreeing workshare. More complex proposals may require the Senior Proposal Manager to provide the leadership for task "onboarding", often involving significant stakeholder management (including customer, business partners, PDP/CDP framework companies, provider network organisations), to drive a clear project scope captured as the customer requirement, against which a proposal is then provided. This role involves a significant coordination effort, engagement with the wider business, management of relationships with partners, ultimately supporting the EDP Framework Manager in delivering effective framework performance, and achievement of KPIs.

In terms of location, this role will be home based with travel to the clients offices and partner sites on occasion.

• Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to use different communication approaches to engage with our business, staff, and external stakeholders
• UK Ministry of Defence knowledge, particularly around domains and services procured
• Relevant and demonstrable experience in a winning business
• Relevant and demonstrable experience of operating within an Engineering Consultancy company
• Experience managing multiple projects to Key Performance Indicator framework contracts
• Self-motivated, well organised, and uses a methodical approach to their work
