Job description

Important: All applicants must be able to obtain Security Clearance, and as a minimum be living in the UK 5 years.

Introduction: An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Test Equipment Engineers that want to use their knowledge in a system/sub system management role. Our department is responsible for specifying the production and in-service tests required to ensure correct manufacture and continued operation of the unit hardware.

The Role: The role includes managing the requirements for Test Equipment and managing the development through delivery and into service. This is an excellent opportunity to experience a broader view of the development and manufacturing process through interaction with systems designers, Chief Engineers, and suppliers. You will also have future opportunities to become a Team Leader within the Chief Design Engineer Project teams.

Experience needed:

  • Ideally qualified to degree-level or equivalent experience in a Physics or Engineering based subject, such as; Electronics, Hardware, Computer Science, Software or Systems Engineering etc.
  • Experience implementing Test Equipment requirements
  • Writing and developing the test specifications
  • Customer Management

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous
  • Experience and understanding of project management and planning
  • Systems Design/Safety Systems
  • Ability/desire to travel when required
  • Ability to influence managers
