400 - 500 per day - inside IR35

Environmental Specialist
Key Skills & knowledge

• • Demonstrable experience and application of environmental legislation
  • Appropriate membership of a professional environmental institution e.g. IEMA
  • Demonstrable awareness and application of the Network Rail standard NR/L2/ENV/015
  • Considerable experience (5+ years) delivering environmental compliance and positive environmental outcomes in the construction sector

Role Description

• • expert, ad-hoc, environmental and social support
  • assurance of environmental documentation and site-based activities concerned with the delivery of projects and operational maintenance works
  • support the delivery of national environmental and sustainability initiatives in the fields of biodiversity & ecology, waste management and resource efficiency, carbon reduction and energy efficiency and, weather resilience and climate change adaptation
  • support local and national procurement tasks such as producing tender questions and reviewing and scoring responses
  • support the production and national, regional and local strategies, inc. sustainability related strategies
  • analysis of environmental incidents or other environmental data, such as waste recycling figures, to identify trends and means of remediation
  • design, produce and deliver briefings and training on the above
