Quality Manager
Location: Hull

Responsible for the continuous development and maintaining the quality processes and procedures at a new pipe fabrication facility in Humberside.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Liaise closely with the Quality Department at Dortmund facility, manage the following QA/QC aspects for the new facility:
- Integrated management system and procedures
- Operational work procedures
- Piping Manager is their software application used to manage the complete fabrication process.
- Materials and consumable management (Including storage requirements and certification)
- Inspection procedures
- Follow-Up Documents (Inspection and Test Plans)
- Management of on-site NCR and concession process
- Ensure all quality procedures and documentation is transmitted to and approved by Client's representative.
- Identify, engage, and manage several inspection personnel to carry out the inspection functions.
- Review & monitor vendor/supplier quality plans, performance, and ITPs to ensure they are compliant with BET and Client quality requirements.
- Manage the quality records process (Piping Manager) from receipt of materials to final inspection, end-of-manufacturing-reports, and despatch.
- Set up and maintain quality records for personnel and equipment.
- Manage the continuous improvement of all quality processes and procedures.
- Liaison with the Procurement function regarding material specification and lead time
- Liaise with Client and 3rd Party Inspectors and manage their attendance at the new facility.
- Develop and implement the audit and inspection programme for the facility.
- Recognising talent and lead the continuous learning and development environment.
Experience
- Good Engineering and QA/QC background
- Knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems
- Experience in managing the quality functions at a pipework fabrication facility, ideally for the nuclear industry.
- Development of project QA documentation (Quality Plans, ITPs etc) and review of supplier QA documentation
- Knowledge and familiarity with KPIs and performance monitoring techniques
- Able to read and understand isometric drawings.
- Understanding of and familiarity with pipe standards and specifications
- Radiographic interpretation
- Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite essential
- Understanding of fabrication, welding, and NDT techniques
- Good communication and report writing skills.
