Job description


Our client, a leading company in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the adherence to quality procedures and standards within the company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the internal audit program to ensure adherence to company procedures and recognized standards
  • Conduct internal audits across all areas of the business on a continual basis
  • Drive investigations and root cause analysis for audit non-conformances
  • Schedule, track, and report on supplier quality audits completed by the Supplier Quality Team
  • Maintain and communicate quality metrics for tracking and meet targets
  • Implement defined quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide general support to the Business Management System process
  • Cooperate with management to meet employer's legal duties and ensure health and safety

Core competencies:

  • Experienced in leading internal audits to recognized aerospace standards
  • Proven quality experience in an Aerospace, Defence, or AS9100 environment
  • Professional conduct, engaging manner, and good communication skills
  • Proven background in maintaining Quality Management Systems
  • Planning and scheduling of audits, both internally and within the supply base
  • Clear communication skills for reporting on audit findings
  • Excellent understanding of root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Ability to use databases to record audits and status
  • Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised and a passion for process improvement
  • Additional competencies will be provided through the competency matrix and linked to the relevant job level

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent - desired
  • Thorough understanding of Defence and/or Aerospace Quality requirements
  • Knowledge of CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) and/or EASA
  • Experience with ISO9001, AS9100, and/or AS9110
  • Computer numeracy, particularly in Excel
