Works/Production Manager:
Responsible for production schedules, works procedures and maintain fabrication standards, in line with operational requirements, and is used safely and properly maintained, ordering spare parts, managing stock control, training and supervising employed personnel and supporting the Quality team, to maintain the quality processes and procedures at a new pipe fabrication facility in Humberside. Supporting the strong HSEQ culture of the business.
Job Description:
- Responsible for the fabrication related activities, maintenance of the quality management systems and fabrication controls for a new facility
- Liaise closely with our Fabrication and Quality Departments at Bilfinger Dortmund to manage the following.
- Integrated management system and procedures
- Operational work procedures
- Fabrication schedules and client priorities
- Overview for Materials and consumable management (including storage requirements and certification)
- Work Instruction and Workflow processes
- Adhere to Follow-Up Documents (Fabrication, Inspection and Test Plans)
- Ensure all quality procedures and documentation is transmitted to and approved by Client's representative.
- Identify, engage and manage a number of fabrication personnel for complete delivery of fabricated spools and pipework.
- Work very closely with Quality team and NDT providers in developing and approving processes and procedures
- Monitor vendor/supplier performance and feedback to ensure high levels of Client satisfaction
- Manage the productivity records within Piping Manager from receipt of materials to final inspection, end-of-manufacturing-reports and despatch (Fabrication lifecycle)
- Set up and maintain progress and maintain fabrication tracker and identify material shortages
- Identify blockers for fabrication and raise EWN's (Early warning notices)
- Raise and Manage TQ's for fabrication queries and information delay & EWN's
- Manage the continuous improvement of all fabrication processes and procedures.
- Liaison with the Procurement function regarding material specification and lead time
- Liaise with Client and 3rd Party Inspectors and manage their attendance at the new facility.
- Recognising talent and lead the continuous learning and development environment.
