Introduction

Our client, a leading company in the marine industry, is currently seeking a skilled Plater to join their team in Govan. This exciting opportunity is with BAE - Maritime Naval Ships (MNS), a reputable organization specializing in Defence & Security and Marine sectors. As a Plater, you will play a vital role in the fabrication process, ensuring the quality and integrity of the structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing fabrication and welding tasks, following technical drawings and specifications
• Operating cutting and forming machinery to shape metal plates
• Inspecting workpieces for accuracy and quality control purposes
• Working in adherence to health and safety guidelines and company policies
• Collaborating with team members and communicating effectively to ensure smooth project completion

Job Requirements

• Significant experience in plating and metal fabrication
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Strong knowledge of cutting, forming, and welding techniques
• Ability to operate various metalworking machinery and hand tools
• Attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality work
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• Adherence to health and safety regulations
