Job description
Introduction
We've partnered with Ricardo, a market-leading automotive consultancy located in Leamington Spa, to help them hire an experienced CNC Gear Grinder to join their growing local team.
What will I be doing?
Internally, you'll be known as a CNC Gear Grinder - Setter Operator, as you'll play a key role in the Gear Grinding of transmission components. Day to day, you'll make sure that all parts are to drawing and match the required standards, working with both Programme Set and Operate, and Opal of Hofler Gear Grinders.
Alongside this, you'll graph components and read and qualify results, and use Klingelnberg PNC 100/P26 systems to inspect and qualify your work.
What do I need to succeed?
You'll already have a toolmaking background, with experience in a Gear Grinding environment, perhaps previously working with CNC or Manual Grinding. You'll have a high level of vigilance and attention to detail, helping to maintain Ricardo's high standards of work.
You'll be comfortable in listening to and working with set requirements, asking the right questions to clarify and understand information where needed. You're a confident communicator both written and verbally, with a willingness and drive to learn new skills and become a competent, valuable member of Ricardo's manufacturing team.
Where required, you'll be willing to work flexibly to support the team, or take on overtime to help us meet delivery dates.
