Depending on skill set and experience this will either be a Junior position or a Senior position within the business.


POSITION PURPOSE
Senior Associate product manager will work with the Marketing team in the Respiratory and General Anaesthesia business unit and manage a defined product portfolio with the support of the Marketing Director. They will work with the team on high priority projects and will work cross functionally with other key internal and external stakeholders. They will strive to be a leader of their business, not a technical product expert, and look to progress their career in the product management space.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
    • Own and lead all activities required to support the assigned product portfolio of the business, in cooperation with the marketing director
    • Organise and manage marketing communications (brochures, customer communications, exhibitions, events etc.)
    • Support Defined Product portfolio with the following:
      • Keep track of ongoing projects
      • Co-ordinate voice of customer activities
      • Arrange team communication with global marketing management team
      • Documentation and regulatory filings
      • Product Life-cycle Management activities
    • Work with the finance team and research data needed to support business cases and product life-cycle decisions
    • Interact with supply chain and sourcing teams to ensure continuity of supply across global markets

Other duties as assigned by supervisor (Global Marketing Director).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, SKILL AND/OR COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Education Required
Education requirements can be obtained through an educational institution or gained through equivalent work experience.

Technical Knowledge and Skills
Entry level role but must have strong organisational and time management skills. High attention to detail. Solid computer skills (MS Office would be an asset).

Abilities
Great people skills with the ability to communicate with all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly accurate and strong computer skills. Contribute to a team environment. Ability to work under pressure and lead cross functional groups. Detailed- oriented comfortable in a multitask environment. Organised and pro-active manager of tasks. Understanding of financial analytic's associated with the business and be able to review and assess current state and patterns with revenue, margin, quantity data.
Impact and Scope
This role has a direct impact on the successful implementation of marketing and functional tasks as outlined in the duties listed above. This role will be responsible for owning all actions and outputs needed to support the product portfolio assigned within the business unit, with support from the Marketing Director.
Key Internal and External Relationships
Internal: Marketing Director, GPM's, Regional Marketing and Sales managers, customer services, RA/QA, supply chain. External: Suppliers (Marcomms, events, media placement, office materials etc, customers.).
Planning and Decision Making
To be successful in this role, the Assistant Product Manager must ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget. The Assistant Product Manager is empowered to make decisions which are in line with their general understanding of the requirements of this position and must meet compliance obligations.

Work Environment
  • This is largely a sedentary role.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
  • Typically requires travel 5-20% of the time
