Job description

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Test Engineer role is an important role within the Test department. The role will tackle the more complex production test work, and carry out challenging diagnostics of production and returns.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have sound knowledge of IPC-A-610 & IPC J-STD-001
  • Reading & understanding complex drawings, schematics and work instructions is important
  • Awareness & understanding of ESD Controls.
  • Awareness & understanding of AS9100/ISO9001.

DUTIES

  • Test PCBAs IAW work instructions & test procedures provided
  • Fault find to component level any assemblies that do not pass test
  • Check work completed for compliance before passing to the next stage
  • Ensure job history is accurately maintained/reported on all route cards the employee works on
  • Proactively advise management of any issues that may affect delivery & or quality.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety, housekeeping, quality and environmental policies and procedures are adhered to.

FRAMEWORK

This role is a key part of the Production team. Day to day work priorities will be given by the Test Team Leader.

RELATIONSHIPS

Test Engineers will be expected to liaise directly with Engineering and Production but may also be required to work with other areas of the business as and when required.

KEY PERSONAL SKILLS

  • Excellent communicator, written, IT and verbal.
  • PC/IT literate, using PC's and tablets as required
  • Motivated
  • Good time management skills.
  • Calm and collected with ability to work under pressure.

Hours of work - Fulltime Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 16:30 & Friday 07:30 - 13:30

Must have right to work in the UK as we cannot offer sponsorship
