Job description
As a vital member of my clients finishing team, you will play a crucial role in repairing and refining gel coat surfaces and GRP composite mouldings. Your primary objective is to create top-quality components for our client's boat manufacturing line. Your expertise in gel coat repairs, trimming, filling, fairing, and polishing ensures efficient and effective work.
Responsibilities:

Finish GRP Mouldings for Boat Construction:
- Skillfully complete the final stages of GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) mouldings to meet quality standards.
- Pay meticulous attention to detail during finishing processes.

Repair Gel Coat Surfaces:
- Address any imperfections in gel coat surfaces promptly and effectively.
- Ensure a flawless finish that meets our high workmanship standards.

Trim, Fill, and Polish Moulded Components:
- Precisely trim excess material from moulded parts.
- Fill and fair any irregularities to achieve a smooth surface.
- Polish components to enhance their appearance.

Additional Duties:
- Collaborate with other manufacturing teams as needed.
- Assist in training new production operatives.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation.
- Uphold safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
- Finishing Product Experience: Prior experience in finishing or related roles.
- Background: Marine Composites OR Painspraying (Finishing) in other industries
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to Learn: Further training will be provided for specific responsibilities.
Salary:
- Salary will be dependant on experience
