Job description
The role is for a Senior Fuel System Engineer working within the Flight Sciences Future Aircraft Fuel System Team. The successful applicant will be required to support up to three aircraft programmes, providing Fuel System specialist knowledge and experience to the tasks they are allocated.
This is a hybrid role, with a period of 'onsite' working alongside the wider team. 1-2 days per week or grouped together e.g. 1 week per month is required. In addition, the successful applicant will be required to support meetings, as required, remotely using the Skype tool.
Typical responsibilities will include: Fuel System detail design and analysis using several modelling and simulation toolsets, review of aircraft system equipment supplier documentation, development of system test procedures, generating responses to system problem reports, system safety analysis (e.g. FHA & FTA), requirement management (including verification against requirements) in support of system clearances.
Requirement management using DOORS or CAMEO, system analysis using MATLAB/Simulink and Siemens AMESIM, safety analysis (e.g. in accordance with ARP4761) using FHA and FTA techniques (Reliability Workbench or similar).
This role will require you to hold or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC). You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period. The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs).
