Job description

Introduction

Our client, a well-established company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a CNC Manual Machinist to join their busy team in Andover. In this role, you will be responsible for operating both Mazak and Hurco machines within a fabrication industry setting.

Key Skills

• Significant experience in CNC Manual Machine operating
• Strong understanding of CNC machining techniques
• Previous experience with Mazak and Hurco machines preferred
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve machinery issues
• A strong commitment to health and safety regulations
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC manual machines, ensuring they are properly calibrated and maintained
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to accurately manufacture components
• Use various precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions
• Maintain high quality standards and monitor the production process for any defects or errors
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve machinery issues as they arise, minimising downtime
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient production flow and achievement of targets
• Complete all required documentation and record keeping accurately

Job Requirements

• Previous experience as a CNC Manual Machinist in a fabrication industry
• Competent in operating Mazak and Hurco machines
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machinery issues effectively
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 07:30am - 16:30 (40 hours per week)
