Senior / Principal Transport Planner - Winchester - Up to £55k

THE ROLE

Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy, is seeking a Senior / Principal Transport Planner to join their growing team in Winchester. As a Senior / Principal Transport Planner, you will be involved in all aspects of transport planning, including transport assessments for new developments, masterplanning, urban regeneration projects, and travel plans. You will lead in the preparation of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, with a focus on junction capacity analysis, data analysis, and transport improvement designs. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of exciting development projects and be a critical part of a busy team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans
• Designing junction and sustainable transport improvements
• Highway capacity modelling
• Liaison with other professionals in the development sector
• Delivering project work within budget and deadlines

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Experience in Transport Planning
• Knowledge of the Planning Regulatory framework and transport policy
• Proficiency in Transportation software packages such as ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG
• Good AutoCAD skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• A strong desire to progress within the field of transport planning
