Job description

Responsibilities:

• Generation of design, test and installation documentation
• Investigation and resolution of design issues
• Design and build of electrical and hardware systems to achieve successful acceptance
• Understanding of Configuration Control and baselines
• Use of Visio for Hardware design
• Successful installation and setting to work of hardware on ship
• Design proving, to include various environmental aspects

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Experience in a hardware domain
• Knowledge and experience of equipment development using COTS hardware
• Ability to author and understand technical and design documentation

Desirable:

• Ability to operate in a large, complex multi-project environment
• Experience with COTS cabinets, cabinet design, wiring schedules, power distribution
• Familiarity with blade, PC and networking technologies

Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects. Preference will be given to candidates who are professionally registered.

The Hardware Systems team:

The team exists to provide hardware development services across a variety of projects. The role will cover a number of facets including development of Shared Infrastructure (SI) Systems, testing and issue resolution across a number of naval platforms.
