Role Overview:
As a Structural Engineer specializing in offshore wind, you will play a pivotal role in the design and analysis of steel foundations for offshore wind turbines. You will work closely with our team of intelligent engineers to develop robust solutions utilizing industry-leading software and methodologies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our consultancy while advancing your career in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct structural analysis and design of steel foundations (jackets and monopiles) for offshore wind turbines.
- Utilize engineering software such as SESAM, Ansys, or Staad for structural modeling, analysis, and optimization.
- Perform feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk analyses to ensure the integrity and safety of offshore structures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including geotechnical engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and presentations for internal review and client meetings.
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies relevant to offshore wind engineering.
- Participate in peer reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in structural engineering, preferably within the offshore wind or marine industry.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SESAM, Ansys, or Staad.
- Strong understanding of structural design principles, loadings, and codes relevant to offshore structures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex engineering challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
