Job description

Our client, a leading local authority in London, is seeking a Validation Officer to join their Development Control Department on a contract basis. As a Validation Officer, you will play a crucial role in the process of assessing and validating a wide range of Planning Applications within the Town Planning sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate and process a diverse portfolio of Planning Applications, ensuring that all relevant documentation is accurate and complete.
• Liaise closely with Agents, Architects, and Residents, providing technical guidance and support throughout the application process.
• Apply relevant legislation and regulations to ensure compliance with planning policies and guidelines.
• Act as the system operator for Uniform software, effectively utilizing the system to manage and track planning applications.

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in town planning, with a strong understanding of the planning application process and associated legislation.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to accurately assess and validate planning documentation.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with stakeholders and provide technical guidance.
• Proficiency in using Uniform software or similar planning application management systems.
