Job description

Job Purpose: As a Hire Controller you will be based in Stevenage as part of the National Rental Team that transacts all Rental enquiries relating to Plant, Fleet, Accommodation, Site Services and Tool requirements.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Processing of all rental requirements through the Plant & Fleet Rental mailbox and transacting accordingly using management software (InspHire, Jaama Key2, Oracle).
  • Liaising with the workshops to maximise utilisation of client Assets from all locations before placing orders with external Suppliers.
  • Engage with our supply chain to satisfy requests not supplied from internal stock.
  • Manage the external rental process, ensuring suppliers deliver/collect Plant or Fleet within the agreed time frames and our databases are accurately updated.
  • Actively review external hire reports and exchange external Plant or Fleet for available internal assets.
  • Continuously review and reconcile live hire reports, ensuring all management software is accurate at all times.
  • Develop positive relationships with client Businesses' and supply chain.
  • Be proficient in all aspects of rental management and general administration.
  • Manage and resolve invoice and general queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work as a team player to ensure all tasks and deadlines are achieved.
  • Delivering an exceptional customer experience both internally and to our customers.

Skills, Know How and experience:

  • Relevant experience within either the Plant or Fleet Industry in a similar role is desirable.
  • Experience of Insphire and/or Jaama Key2 desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to relate to and work with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
  • Administrative or Customer Service experience desirable
  • Proven IT Skills with experience of Microsoft Office.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
