Introduction

Our client, a prominent company within the Rail industry, is currently seeking a Civil Project engineer to join their team. This is an exciting contract opportunity with a 12-month duration, offering competitive rates of £450-£500 per day on an inside basis.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement tender strategies
• Conduct thorough evaluation of project requirements and specifications
• Review and analyze project documentation, drawings, and technical specifications
• Manage and coordinate tender processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and client requirements
• Prepare cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment
• Attend site visits and meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project scope
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals and negotiate agreements

Job Requirements

• Experience in civil engineering, specifically within the Rail sector
• Strong understanding of tendering processes and procedures
• Proficiency in evaluating project documentation and technical specifications
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Effective negotiation and interpersonal abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
