Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Composite Assembly Technician to join Our client's team within the Automotive sector. This is a contract role that will run on a night shift pattern. As a Composite Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for producing composite parts and assemblies for our Formula One Team at Our client, primarily involving tooling, trimming, and bonding of various composite components.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Produce parts 100% to engineering drawings
- Ensure all parts conform to specific instruction sheets
- Inspect completed components
- Trim and assemble carbon fibre components
- Perform initial assembly of new car parts
- Service items from races and tests
- Prepare parts for Non Destructive Testing inspection
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
Requirements:
- Ability to read engineering drawings and an engineering skills background
- Good practical skills
- Experience in trimming and assembling Carbon fibre is essential
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Basic PC literacy
