Leading main contractor organisation seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a contract role based just outside Birmingham
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the day to day commercial activities on a exciting green energy project. If you have experience working in a highly regulated industry accompanied with a strong understanding of various contracts this would be an ideal role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of quantity surveying on the project
- Provide strong stakeholder management and maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure accurate cost forecasting and reporting
- Manage contracts and contractual disputes
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and manage change
- Monitor and control project costs, including the preparation of variations
- Conduct risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies
Job Requirements
- Significant experience in quantity surveying working in a highly regulated industry
- Experience of working for a contracting organisation
- Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial management
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in using relevant quantity surveying software
- Professional qualification in quantity surveying (RICS or equivalent) is preferred
