Introduction

Our client, an experienced consultancy in the geotechnical and geo-environmental industry, is currently seeking a skilled Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their team. This is a permanent position based in their Winchester office, with potential opportunities in other locations. Our client has faced some challenges in the past year and is now looking for a highly competent individual to fill a vital expertise gap, drive the business forward, and provide training to the junior team. If you bring a technical and business development skillset, along with the ability to oversee projects and manage teams, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Job Requirements

• Significant experience in geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering
• Strong understanding of Geo-Environmental practices
• Previous experience in a planning lead role
• Technical proficiency coupled with a business development mindset
• Excellent project management skills
• Chartered Engineer or Chartered Geologist qualification preferred (CEng or CGeol)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee geotechnical and Geo-Environmental projects
• Mentor and provide training to junior team members
• Develop new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders
• Provide technical expertise and guidance
• Contribute to the planning and growth of the business
