An opportunity has arisen for a Trades Assist to join a busy team of tradesman working on Ship repair projects

Job description

You will be supporting a variety of trades and will also be put through fire sentry training to be able to support Welders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance to tradesmen working on shiprepair projects
• Perform general labouring tasks
• Collection and delivery of materials, etc on and off site
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Job Requirements

• Must have a valid driving licence to be able to drive the company van on and off site
• Must be eligible for security clearance as BPSS is required for the role
• Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
• Be physically fit
• Motivated, reliable and hardworking

Hours - 40 per week as standard, but you can expect to work overtime and could work around 50 per week.

Rate - £11.44/h PAYE plus £1.38/h holiday pay or £15.05/h Umbrella co

There is a weekend uplift if OT is worked Sat/Sun.

The contract is on going/long term.
