Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage integrated master programme plan of key milestones across release level programme plans
- Identify critical path and associated milestones
- Work with Project and Programme Managers to review complex schedules and develop viable action plans for scheduling risk mitigation.
- Support in planning and review sessions as required
- Ensure adherence to mitigation plans
- Ensure adherence to plan re-baselining where appropriate
- Analyses the schedule for impacts to intermediate milestones
- Offer your leadership, support and guidance to the team where required, enabling them to deliver by helping to remove blockers or supporting them in their activities
- Play a central role in the formation of the future roadmap, alongside the Head of Delivery, Delivery Managers and Product Owners to bring together a view of effort, cost and high-level plan
- Supports the Programme Managers by Quality assuring all reporting and plans
- Generate critical path analyses and support scenario planning
- Create open communication with key stakeholders to inform and update, building trust and respect by creating strong relationships that allow for healthy debate and influential discussion
- Work with representatives to ensure visibility of internal program dependencies
- Support with tracking, accountability, and governance of the planning activities

- Must have direct Program or Project Planning & Scheduling expertise in a technical environment
Key Skills, Ability or Experience
- A strong track record of successfully delivering quality programme management in complex, multi vendor, cross functional and market environments, for applications of significant size and value (£m+).
- PRINCE2 / APM & CSM Certification
- Minimum 5 years Project Management experience, Programme Management would be beneficial
- Excellent Programme / Project Planning skills (MSP, Excel, JIRA and Confluence)
- Broad experience of managing dependencies
- Experience of multiple delivery process and methodologies; both Agile and Waterfall and the ability to identify which tools and processes are best suited to support the delivery needs
- Flexible and adaptable approach and a strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate with, and successfully influence, at all levels of the organisation (including board level) to achieve a successful delivery at scale. All with the confidence and willingness to challenge the status quo
- Leadership in a multi-vendor environment, managing third parties to time, outcome and budget with the confidence to hold them to account throughout the delivery cycle
- Great leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams to be successful, to enjoy their contribution and to be proud of their achievements
- Experienced in creating and managing programme plans and associated RAIDD profiles across multiple teams and complex programmes of work.
- Ability to simplify complex issues and bring a structured approach to planning and project execution
