Highway Development Manager
Our London based client are seeking a Highway Development Manager to take responsibility for a small team and will coordinate responses to planning applications and enquiries.
The successful candidate will ensure traffic and parking disruption is kept to an absolute minimum during works, you will negotiate with developers and manage the design review process to ensure they are meeting stringent standards. With access to a £2million budget, you will also put measures in place to maximise the appearance of local streets and offer expert advice on the ultimate impact of permanent changes to the network.
To excel in this fast-paced role, you will bring your knowledge of project management in the public realm to the team. Working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders and departments, your communication skills will be second to none, as will your people management capabilities - as proven by your previous experience of managing staff in a large organisation. Able to apply procedures to implementing revenue and capital schemes, your degree level qualifications in engineering or a transport-related field will be enhanced by senior level programme delivery, and you will have a good understanding of managing the budgets and finances of large projects.
