Project Control Manager
We are currently looking for Project Control Managers for DE&S in Bristol, Yeovil, Barrow-In-Furness, Cambridge, Plymouth and Gosport.
DE&S manage a vast range of complex projects to buy and support all the equipment and services that the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and British Army need to operate effectively.
Project Controls is a key function within DE&S and plays a vital role in ensuring the success of projects by providing Estimating, Cost Control, Planning and Scheduling and Risk Management. What makes DE&S unique is that they are involved in all phases of a project from the proposal through to completion, ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.
Exciting opportunities have arisen for Project Control Managers. The Project Control Manager within DE&S is the glue that keeps the Project Control team together and is responsible for strategic management of projects and portfolios and requires leadership expertise, technical knowledge and strong relationship skills.
The role will lead the Project Controls element for a number of complex projects and is responsible for developing and overseeing the delivery of Project Control Operating plans for setting and maintaining the performance management baseline for projects within the team. You will also be responsible for directing and integrating all aspects of Earned Value Management (EVM), Cost management, estimating, scheduling and risk management, providing analysis of progress and driving agreed recovery actions.
These roles will suit an experienced Project Controller with excellent communication skills, a proven ability to define, tailor, source and analyse high quality Management Information and is able to establish credibility to lead collaboratively across project teams and contract boundaries.
To be considered for these roles you will possess demonstrable experience in Project Controls Management, be able to provide advice to Project Managers and offer leadership experience and oversight of Project Controls staff across a number of disciplines.
You will possess specific knowledge and experience ideally equivalent to one of the following:
- Association of Project Management (APM) Practitioner Qualification (PQ)
- ACosteE (Incorporated)
- AAT / working towards a CCAB qualification
- A technical, engineering or business related degree.
These are Permanent position paying £30,000 - £41,000.
