You need to able to work to tight deadlines, have good written and verbal communication skills
with a strong ability to coordinate and manage relationships with internal and external customers
both in the UK and France. The ideal candidate must be able to work on their own initiative and be
motivated by completing tasks in a timely manner. You also need to be self driven, resourceful,
independent whilst still working in a team environment, be target driven and be able to
communicate at all levels of the business. Adaptability to change of plan and circumstances is a
You will be required to communicate opportunities and work within the operational and design
teams to develop most efficient ways to use people, parts and tooling. Highlighting areas that can
be improved and working with the operations team to implement these changes by creating action
& timing plans that can be used to measure the implementation progress.
Some travel may be required to France / Germany / USA
Candidate skills & requirements
- Manufacturing Engineer, with a good understanding of Aerospace Manufacturing processes.
- Good Knowledge of Metallic and Composite materials.
- Experience of using / implementing Lean Sigma and Quality tools.
- Industrialisation experience.
- DATA management (drawings, master layouts, batch cards).
- Catia V5/6.
- SAP Skills (routings, materiel masters, BOMs).
- Production support .
- Innovative and wanting to continually improve the assembly process.
- Project planning.
- Kowledge of French language would be an asset, but is not a must-have.
