Assembly Technician - Wash Bay
Our clients have an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Technician - Wash Bay to join their fast moving manufacturing environment in Waterlooville working on a double day shift.
In accordance with Process and Site requirements, working as part of an Engineering Team to ensure products are filled and packed in accordance with specification and that the production lines operate in a safe and efficient manner.
Factory based, operating primarily as part of a flexible team in the Engineering Wash bay but also on Assembly lines.
Key Areas of Performance
a) To dismantle, clean, sanitise and reassemble filling equipment in accordance with the cleaning SOP.
b) To undertake line running adjustments as required, including but not exclusively, changing reels of labels, coders and shrink film.
c) To undertake basic line set up tasks including, but not exclusively, the connection of Bulk supply to the Filler, setting the shrink tunnel and Ink Jet Coders.
d) To undertake Material Handling duties as required, including the retrieval and return of bulk and components from picked stock.
e) To undertake relevant training provided by the Company in furtherance of the immediate, medium and long term plans of the Business and to assist in the training of new recruits.
f) To undertake all departmental functions in accordance with SOP's and recognised best practice and to report any problems to the Department Manager.
g) To ensure that all operations are performed in accordance with company Health and Safety guidelines and HASAWA 1974, ensuring that equipment is operated safely, with consideration for the Job holder's own safety and the safety of fellow workers in the area.
h) To maintain the highest possible standards of housekeeping and G.M.P. within the Assembly areas.
i) Ensure security of company goods and property.
j) To promote good working relationships within the Engineering and Assembly Teams.
k) To carry out any reasonable task as directed by the Department Managers.
