Our client is currently looking for a Waste Network Management Coordinator to join their fast paced control centre in Durrington, West Sussex.

The Job

The key purpose of the of the role is to use daily combination reports to identify a work stream across our clients wastewater pumping and treatment asset base, analysing performance metrics and detecting points of deterioration before catastrophic failures occur. You will act as an escalation point for the control room and frontline operational staff by using data analysis skills to proactively detect and prevent pollution events thereby providing vital support in their Wastewater and Pollution response.

Activities will involve working collaboratively with the serviceability team, network analytics team, field teams and external regulators to ensure timely reporting when wastewater assets are performing outside of normal operations and acting as a point of triage for various areas of the wastewater business, managing "green" level Wastewater incidents. This entails chairing conference calls, driving performance and repairs for reactive asset failure and acting as a point of escalation between frontline staff and the on shift Duty Manager.

The primary responsibility of the post is to minimise the customer and environmental impact of all network activity on a daily basis across our clients region and includes regular stakeholder reporting. The role will provide increased focus on events that impact on our clients Serviceability rating for Wastewater Infrastructure.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate practical data interrogation skills, have the ability to identify emerging risks and develop solutions to resolve issues using the appropriate resources. Operational knowledge of Wastewater Process is desirable. The ideal candidate will have an analytical background and strong problem solving ability.

This is a full time permanent role working 38 hours per week on a rotating shift basis. The shift pattern is currently 4 on 7 off and then 3 on and 7 off. Day about standby is included within the 7 days off and there is an alternating shift pattern between days and nights.

Previous management experience and use of Microsoft Office, Access, Pi Excel and Pi Process Book would be an advantage.
