I am currently looking to recruit a very niche technical compliance role to support a global automotive company in their Farnborough offices. The role is a 12 month contract and will be looking for someone on a full time basis.

The Job

Location: Farnborough

Rate: £22.00- £24.50ph

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5:15pm

Contract length: 12 months

The role of compliance executive will include:

  • Transfer EC type approval documents into UK approvals required for first registration of new vehicles
  • Verify the validity of said approvals for the UK regulations and maintain this through to end of production
  • Convert UK provisional approvals into full UK approvals before the end of the transition period
  • Monitor end of series, preparing and applying for derogation in both the UK and IE where appropriate
  • Provide support at an expert level on vehicle regulations specific to the UK and IE markets
  • Maintain databases relating to emission and fuel consumption labelling regulations, ensuring compliance
  • Represent the business at working groups for type approval, and actively participate in vehicle regulation meetings with trade associations and agencies
  • Provide expert support on vehicle emission regulation non-conformity, in-service testing and fleet reporting
  • Liaise with central departments, production plants and governance on matters relating to vehicle regulations, providing expert knowledge of local requirements
  • Support local projects and specialist sales with matters relating to vehicle regulations

The successful compliance executive will require:

    • NVQ (or equivalent) in Business Administration
    • Knowledge of dealing with legal documents
    • Experience of working in the automotive sector
    • Computer literacy, Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
    • Must be able to communicate, negotiate and present effectively
    • High degree of accuracy in data handling skills
    • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English level C or above
    • To be able to speak German (desirable)
