We are looking for an exceptional hands-on automation/control system engineer with the capability to manage projects.
Through innovative thinking, paying attention to detail and developing creative solutions, our mission is to develop value added lasting relationships with clients and become their integration partner of choice. Our extensive repeat-business client list is testament to our success.
If you join us you will be one of our key people, managing and delivering projects for our clients. You should be proficient with handling the full life cycle of the project from initial conception, design, documentation, configuration, internal testing and customer testing to commissioning and on-going support.
Requirements
The role requires a committed individual, capable of determining and scheduling their own workload on a daily basis to achieve project requirements. You will be responsible for delivering control and automation processes, closely interfacing with clients to understand and develop their requirements. To be considered for this role you will have worked on industrial automation solutions and process control. While we us the following platforms extensively, we are currently looking to add experience in PCS7.
Distributed control systems and PLC development
AB PLC's Rockwell PLCs - SLC, Logix 5000
Siemens PCS7 and S7
Emerson DeltaV, Provox, SIS
SCADA design and programming - Proficy iFIX, RSView, FactoryTalk, Wonderware
HMI development
Industrial IT and enterprise level solutions - Historian, IP21
If you have a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant related discipline this would be an advantage, although experience within the process control field is more important. Significant experience within the pharmaceutical and chemical industry is a distinct advantage.
Much of our work is accomplished on our client's sites, so as well as being within easy reach of our (north Glasgow) office you will need to be flexible to work at our client's locations, sometimes for a considerable period of time. Occasionally some time working away from home will be necessary. It is therefore essential that you hold a full valid driver's licence and have access to a car.
