Our client is looking for a Growth Planning Lead to join their team in either Durrington, West Sussex or Falmer, East Sussex.


Previous water industry experience is desirable

The Job

The Growth Planning Lead is responsible for leading the team accountable for understanding current and future housing developments, and helping the company prepare for this growth by engaging with local authorities/other planning bodies and large developers on development plans to identify likely investment needs associated with growth and new development, over the 5-25 year investment period.

The Growth Planning Lead will also co-ordinate the representation of company views from across our clients management team to help inform stakeholder growth plans, whilst also leading a team of 6 direct reports and providing them with coaching and support to continually improve performance and develop their skills to ensure customer levels of service are met.


This role will make excellent use of your experience in stakeholder management of interested parties throughout the lifecycle of the planning process, your ability to build rapport with customers and leadership of people.

Ideally, you will have either a background in similar roles within the Water industry, or a town and country planning, engineering or environmentally focussed degree.

You will be confident when working towards operational targets whilst also having a strategic approach to enable successful future planning for growth.
