Job description
Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Senior Planning, Monitoring & Control Professional for a contract role within their Submarine Solutions business unit. This dynamic position involves key responsibilities in project management, situated in a hybrid working environment with 2-3 days on-site at Barrow. The role spans a period of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage PM&C processes for small projects or specific work packages within larger, complex projects.
- Support Project Managers in managing PM&C aspects of substantial projects.
- Supervise or guide professional staff, ensuring delivery, performance, appraisal, and development support.
- Adapt and apply PM&C practices in varying scenarios, guiding others as necessary.
- Perform intermediate project reporting, scheduling, and problem-solving.
- Administer business processes, spreadsheets, and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage project success using predictive or adaptive PM&C methods.
- Consolidate and provide expert advice to advance organisational goals.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Support development and implementation of tailored PM&C practices.
- Provide technical support and supervision for team members.
- Ensure PM&C practices are fit for purpose within the project.
Job Requirements:
- University degree or practical knowledge gained through experience in a relevant field.
- PM Qualification such as APM Project Management Qualification.
- Proactive with strong leadership skills to manage stakeholders and meetings.
- Desirable: Electrical engineering back
