Job description
There is an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join the Power and Propulsion Solutions (PPS) team that supports the electric powertrains and energy strorage systems. These include umongst others the Hybrid-electric vehicles.
Skills:
- Proven experience developing systems in relevant product markets and/or domains, such as control systems, Automotive systems or other safety related systems
- Experience of conducting Engineering investigations
- Experience using tools for data analysis and simulations such as Excel and Matlab.
- Proven ability to connect and maintain effective interpersonal networks internally and across the community including significant customer familiarity for technical aspects, verifying and obtaining agreement that customer needs are satisfied.
- Proven ability to work with minimal guidance and make sound strategic decisions whilst collaborating to ensure the team understand, co-operate and support those decisions. Taking responsibility for interdependent technical work package execution and associated outcomes.
Desirable:
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of networked based communication tools (CANBus) e.g. CANalyzer and their uses.
- Experience with customers to solve technical issues
- Experience with supporting strategic decision making
- Familiarisation with Automotive industry standards (ISO 26262, SAEJ1939 etc.).
- Ability to travel for on-site vehicle testing
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Scientific/Engineering subject (e.g. Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics or Mathematics).
